NFL week 1 News


In the NFL there has been a lot of important news from all different teams. For one, Broncos linebacker Von Miller is at risk of a 6 game suspension due to speeding and plus he was driving without a license. The Broncos may also keep $1.25 million worth of signing bonus due to the suspension. Also Jeremy Kerley (Jets wide receiver) will not be eligible for week two against the Patriots due to a concussion in the season opener against the Buccaneers. In other news Ndamukong Suh’s fine with be a $100,000 which is the largest fine in NFL history without suspension as well. He was originally fined $30,000 due to kicking Matt Schaub of the Houston Texans in the groin area. He is being fined an extra $70,000 for an illegal block on John Sullivan of the Minnesotan Vikings. Safety, Kenny Vaccaro of the Rams was fined $7,875 for a late hit on Matt Ryan. Brandon Lloyd has turned down offers from 6 teams due to the fact he doesn’t think he is mentally or physically prepared to go on. He has been offered $940,000 at minimum and he does not think he will be extending his career any longer. Roddy White from the Falcons expected to play this Sunday against the Rams. He went down with a knee injury in the preseason on August 15 and he is finally ready to play. Rob Gronkowski is finally ready to play again after a couple injuries in the off season. Mark Sanchez’s shoulder injury has ruled him out for both week 1 and week 2. The Jets don’t quite know when he will be ready to put the pads on and hit again.
